The Knowledge Centre for Security Intelligence is the leading international hub where academics, practitioners, government bodies, and knowledge institutions have been working together since 2018 to make a difference in the safety and security of our changing society. We achieve this by combining services grounded in academic research with practical applicability, in close collaboration with our experts from the Netherlands and Belgium.

This vision comes together in Applied Intelligence,Inlichtingenkunde is the practical application of intelligence science, focused on the collection, analysis, and use of information to support decision-making in complex or uncertain situations.with a focus on people, organisations, methodology, and the practical application of intelligence within your organisation. All of this serves the shared goal of strengthening the knowledge base on the threats and risks of today and tomorrow.

Why Security Intelligence?

The Security Intelligence methodology was originally developed by the United States Secret Service to proactively protect High Value Targets (VIPs) by maintaining a real-time, up-to-date threat assessment. As mentioned, Security Intelligence involves the structured collection, processing, and dissemination of information regarding individuals, groups, or organisations that may pose a threat.
