N. (Niek) Möller
About Niek
Niek Möller graduated from Leiden University (MSc Crisis and Security Management) with a specialisation in intelligence and national security. During his internship at Allseas — a global player in offshore pipeline installation — he worked within the security department to help protect personnel on overseas projects in medium- and high-risk environments. Think secured transport, hotel checks, curfews, and sharp risk assessments of project areas, including any no-go zones. With more than 4,000 international trips a year, this was no paper exercise but operational reality.
He contributed to projects off the coast of Brazil (office in Rio de Janeiro) and in Mozambique (the Mozambique LNG project by TotalEnergies), as well as the Philippines and the Gulf of Mexico. There, Niek learned how to deliver safety not just on paper but through logistics, culture, and real-time decision-making — precisely where policy and practice must meet.
After his internship, Niek joined SoSecure / the Kenniscentrum Security Intelligence (KSI) as a consultant and lecturer in intelligence and security. In his current role he teaches OSINT, including for the Ministry of Defence, having completed the OSINT course by Arno Reuser. He combines analytical sharpness with hands-on practicality, helping organisations stay ahead of risk — clear, pragmatic, and without noise.
